Fantastic Forests

Welcome back! We hope you had a restful break. 

 

This term our topic is Fantastic Forests.  In English this week we have been reading The Gigantic Turnip.  We have been using our adjectives to describe the characters from the story, working in teams to tell the class our thoughts.  In Maths this week we have been looking at Tens and Ones.  The children used money, bead strings and cubes to solve number questions.  In Topic we were introduced to forests and took a walk through our Forest Ranger Area to see what we could see.  In Science this week the children went on a seasonal walk spotting the changes that are happening around us.  We then planted some turnip seeds.  Watch this space!
