week 4
This week we have been looking at a new book. The Tin Forest by Helen Ward. We looked through the eyes of the old man and described what he could see adding adjectives to nouns. In maths this week we have looking a measuring weight using non standard forms of measurement e.g. cubes! The children had great fun weighing various items from the classroom and then recording their data in a bar graph. In Topic this week we compared a rainforest to a woodland in Prestwood.
In Science this week we learnt about the structure of a tree. The children labelled a diagram and then explained each feature. In Life Skills the children learnt about a variety of careers they could choose from when they were older. What great aspirations the children have.
Abacus is up. It is seaside scuttle. Don't forget to log and complete the tasks.
