16th September 2022 - First Aid training for the whole school

We recognise the importance of life saving skills and have had "Mini First Aid" in school for two days to train EVERY child (including Preschool) how to carry out basic first aid.

Getting in the Christmas spirit with the Community

Some of our Year Two children walked to Giles Court and entertained them with their amazing Christmas singing. They then spent some time chatting with the residents and talking about what the school is like now. The children and residents really enjoyed it and we are looking forward to popping back in soon. Thank you!

Spanish Superstar!

Congratulations to Phoebe who won an award for her fantastic Spanish this week. Well done!

We did it!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped us to collect the sports stickers from Aldi. We are delighted to say that we have completed the board and hope to be elibible for some free sports kit as well as being entered into a drawer to win £20,000 for the school. Mr Edmonds has got it ready to post, wish him luck...

Remembrance Sunday

We are extremely proud of our children who attended the wreath laying service on behalf of Prestwood Infant School. Each class made a wreath to pay our respects to those who fought to allow us to have the freedom we have today. The children were extremely respectful. Take a look at the photos below:

Diwali

Mrs Smith hosted a fantastic assembly to teach the children all about Diwali. The children we engrossed by her beautiful Indian outfit. Mrs Nichol has recently travelled around India so also had an outfit to share with the children.

We would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who helped us fundraise for our incredible new library. We have had a significant amount of support from "Sweet Charity" in the village, as well as our Friends Association. Many parents and members of the community donated via our GoFundMe. We are extremely grateful to everyone and the library is being very well used! We hope to have an official grand opening once all the finishing touches have been made!
