Week 4

Bear Facts

It is non fiction week so we will be little zoologists studying bears and finding out lots of facts about them using various ways. We have lots of activities planned and don't forget to look at our Information for Parents page for news too.

Phonics: to carry on reviewing the phase 3 digraps and looking at words with 2 or more digraphs. We will use the 'chunking' method to read the word.

Literacy: Researching facts using non-fiction texts to create bear posters

Maths: This week we look at number bonds to 10.

Topic: Mother's day is coming up so we shall look at ways of celebrating  and appreciating all  of you lovely mummies out there.

Tricky Word Challenge

You are all such superstars!

Not only have the children learned the Tricky Words and are able to read so many more than before, with your support and generosity, the amount raised has helped us to pay for the coaches as well as the venue for our school trip to College Lake this half term. We would like to say a huge THANK YOU for all your combined efforts - we are amazed.

It is British Science week this week and to celebrate this, we had a Science day at school. The children were organised into small groups and took part in different activities around the school. We had a fabulous day exploring and discovering new things and confirming things we already knew. The reception children had a chance to learn and interact with the Year 1 and Year 2 children. It was all good fun. Head over to the Science Week page to see what we all got up to.

Check out all the learning we have done this week during our child initiated play!
