Well done on your fantastic Sir David Attenborough research. We have been very impressed with your efforts!
As you have discovered, David Attenborough has lived a remarkably interesting life. Take a look at the PowerPoint below to find out more about him.
Task one - This week we would like you to locate some of the places that David Attenborough has visited on a world map.
Here is a list of the places we would like you to find on the map below.
If you do not have a printer you can point to them on your device or if you have a globe at home, find the countries on that.
Task two – Choose one of the places that you have found on the map (not England) and find out what the weather is like there and compare it to the weather in Prestwood.
What is the weather like in your chosen country? Is it hot / cold / changeable?
What is the weather like in Prestwood? Is it hot / cold / changeable?
Different places have different types of climates – they can be hot, cold or temperate which means a mild, moderate climate not too hot or not too cold.
Climate is the average weather usually taken over 30 years for a particular place.
Does Prestwood and your chosen country have different seasons? If so what are they called?
You can present your work in whatever way you would like. You may like to write some sentences, make a poster or create a booklet. It is up to you.
Task three – Discuss with a grown up. Where would you rather live Prestwood or your chosen country? Why? Why not?
As always please send us in photographs or your work. We would love to see what you have been up to.
