Maths

This week we are going to be learning about 3D shapes; 3D shapes are different to 2D shapes because they aren’t flat.

We are going to have a look at some 3D shapes and learn the names of them:

We are going to be focusing on the Cube, Cuboid, Cylinder, Cone and Sphere (bit if you want to look at the others as an extra challenge and grow your brain then that would be amazing!)

These 3D shapes look like objects you mind find around your house, for example, an orange or a ball is a sphere shape.

Independent Task: Can you go on a 3D shape hunt around your home and see what you can find? You might like to take some photos.

Extra Challenge: Can you add some labels to the 3D shapes you have found with their names on?
