Week Six

Another fun filled week completed.  Well done everybody, we are so nearly at half term.

In English this week the children have been working on their capital letters and full stops. We have been writing up our instructions to make a gingerbread man using bossy verbs. First we looked through a few sets of instructions to locate the bossy verbs.  We then collated a bank of bossy verbs which we then put into sentences.

In Maths we have been consolidating our learning, correcting any misconceptions we may have had.

In Topic the children drew their route to school, adding in symbols to represent key places e.g. post office, Sainsbury's, church etc.

In Science we have been investigating which materials will float.  They had great fun making predictions and then seeing if they were correct.  Lots of fun and some wonderful discussions.

In Art they have been painting their sculptures.

No new Abacus homework has been set this week, but still log on and revisit games you have done already.  Don't forget to look at Topmarks too, as there are lots of activities to consolidate their learning.

Please remember to bring in your reading book and reading record book EVERYDAY.
