Letters to Santa 

We are in the final full week of school and we have many exciting things to look forward to. We have our Christmas performance to parents on Wednesday morning as well as a Reception Christmas party on Friday. We shall be in a very festive mood and this will link into our learning and activities. We will be making our Christmas cards and getting ready to bring all our wonderful creations home. 

Phonics: This week, we are reviewing all the sounds we have learned so far and all the Tricky words. It is a great idea to practise these Tricky words at home so please don't forget to take the words out of the little bags and have a game with them.

Literacy: This week in literacy we will be looking at writing letters to Santa and making lists. We are improving our sounding out skills and then writing the word. You can also try making little lists at home and asking the children to help you sound out the words.  

Maths: In maths this week, we will exploring 4 sided shapes and look at time in simple ways. 

Have the most wonderful holiday and break from the hectic school days to enjoy the fun and festive season. We hope that it is relaxing and fun for you all. We look forward to seeing you all again in the coming year for a whole new topic and lots more learning and exploring.
