Week 7

Dear Adults

Wow we have completed our first half term in Year One.  The children are exhausted as they have worked their little socks off!

We just wanted to wish you all a very happy half term break.

Following on from a lovely parent’s evening where we finally got to meet you all, some questions were asked about tricky words.   We thought it would be an idea to let you know what they are.  You might like to practise writing and spelling them at home.

There is no abacus homework this week, so it will give you a chance to finish any that you have not managed to complete.  You can also revisit past homework by accessing “my library”.

When we come back the weather will definitely have turned so please ensure that your child has a suitable coat EVERYDAY! NAMED please.  If they wish to go on the field they must have a pair of wellies in school, again named please.

We have not sent home reading books; however, your child should have a library book and a reading for pleasure book in their bags.  We will issue books again next term.  Can we ask you to ensure these books are in the bag every single day!

Have a wonderful break, see you in November!

During this last week we have completed a computer day. The children used their programming skills to set instructions first to each other, and then to a Bee Bot. Have a look at the video below.
