It is Week 2 and this week, we are learning all about Diwali. Diwali was on the 4th of November and not only did Mrs Smith celebrate with her family but also some of our class members. This week we have been lucky enough to have Mrs Wadhwa come in to give us a special talk and presentation all about Diwali. She told us the story of Rama and Sita and the evil demon, Ravan. We leared that Diwali is the festival of light as well as the different ways it is celebrated. She also brought in some special Diwali outfits and some of the children volunteered to try them on. They looked fabulous! Mrs Wadhwa also very kindly brought in some special food for us to taste and many of us were very brave and tried it.
Thank you so much Mrs Wadhwa, we really enjoyed learning about Diwali.
