Welcome back and a Happy New Year to you all.
The children have settled back into school routines beautifully. In English this week the children wrote about the Christmas break and were also introduced to our new topic "Crazy Creatures." They were introduced to the story Guess what I am? They had a go at giving three clues to their friends to guess which animal they were.
In Maths this week we have been looking at two digit numbers. Locating them on a number square and negotiating a number square to find 2 more and 2 less. The children remembered that a 2 digit number is made of tens and ones.
In Life Skills the children were learning about our heart and how to keep it healthy. They managed to locate their pulse and have a go at counting how many beats in produced in a minute. They also noticed how much quicker their heartbeat was after some exercise!
In Science this week we went on a Seasonal Walk to see what changes have happened now that we are in the Season of Winter.
