Week 1

Ah, here we are at Summer 1, in which we learn all about the magic of minibeasts.

We inch into the term starting with a classic and a firm favourite:

Phonics: Reviewing longer words and words ending in -s, and -es.

Maths: Counting beyond 20 and focussing on teens numbers.

Topic: It is almost the end of Ramadan so we will learn how Eid is celebrated.

Secret Readers

Ssssssssh! Don't tell your children but we have a lovely surprise in store for them involving you - the parents!

We would like you to volunteer to come and read to your child and their class at the end of every Wednesday from 2:40 p.m. -2:50 p.m. Let Mr Edmonds or Mrs Smith and Mrs Kirby know that you are interested and they will compile a list and let you know when it is your turn. Bring a book and do your magic. It will be a fabulous surprise for the children and even more so if it's your little one in the class.

We are hoping to start the SECRET READER asap so let us know if you are interested and we will give you a date to come in and read.
