Phonics

Lets start the week with a game of Obb and Bob to warm up our brains (don't forget to select Phase 5).

It's Monday so it's tricky word day!

The tricky words we are going to focus on spelling today are 'Mr' and 'Mrs'.  Remembering that this is the start of someone's name so it MUST have a capital letter.

Start by challenging yourself to a speed write contest for each word.  How many times can you write each word in turn for 30 seconds?  Then challenge yourself for both words!

Try a bit of rainbow writing too.

Write them BIG, write them small .

Then practise using them in a sentence.

e.g.   Mrs Reid-Jones always loves to have chocolate fudge cake for her tea!  Mr Reid-Jones thinks she eats too much chocolate fudge cake!
