Today we are going to be matching objects to numbers from 1 to 10.
Before you begin you will need:
- 10 small objects e.g Lego bricks, counters, cars
- 1 - 10 number cards
Start by choosing a number from 1 - 5. Then try and match the number chosen with the equal amount of objects. Lets say you were using Lego bricks for your objects. If you chose 3, you would need to carefully count out 3 bricks. Repeat this a few times with different numbers.
Try this again however now use numbers going from 5 - 10. Once you have done this a few times now your grown up can give you a certain amount of objects and you have to find the corresponding number to match it.
Extra Challenge: This time you give your grown up a number and challenge them to find the correct amount of objects. Check their answer by counting their objects to see if they have got it correct.
