Good morning!
In our lesson today we are going to be placing halves on a number line.
On a regular number line, we have the numbers 0 to 20, 30 or more! See the number line below.
Today we are going to be looking at half numbers and where they go on a number line.
Katherine the Caterpillar ate 1 and a half leaves on Monday where would we put that on the number line? What two numbers is one and a half between on the number line below? It is more than 1 but less than 2 so it would go in the middle of 1 and 2.
We will go through more examples together in our lesson.
