Elmer Art

We practised colour mixing with paints to create the colours we needed to paint a large Elmer. Everyone mixed a colour and painted a square.

We have 3 primary colours – red, blue and yellow. You can’t make these colours, but you can use them to make the other (secondary) colours. You could try this with paints or crayons/coloured pencils at home. Red + yellow = orange, red + blue = purple, yellow + blue = green.

We also used white and black paints to make lighter or darker shades.

If you would like to colour an Elmer you could copy or print out the picture included (or your grown up can search for one if you would prefer) 😊
