We are really getting into the Christmas spirit here at Prestwood Infant School and we are sharing our joy with residents of Prestwood. Today we visited Giles Court and sang some fabulous Christmas songs. We then stayed around for some orange squash and a chit chat! What a lovely morning. Take a look at the gallery on our website for some pictures.

A very big well done to Sycamore Class who ventured to the village hall to entertain a group of Prestwood residents during their annual Christmas celebration. The children sang a selection of songs and made us feel very proud. There are many more community events coming up!
  • CSI Reading Research Project

    Wed 04 Dec 2019 J Nichol
Mrs Nichol and Mrs Eales have been working on a project to enhance motivation for reading and writing. A selection of pupils from across our school and the Junior school, as well as many other local schools, gathered together on Monday for an exciting workshop. We were joined by two crime scene investigators who set up a crime in our school and taught the children how to solve it. We took finger prints of each other, lifted fingerprints from objects in the crime scene and learnt how to lift footprints too. It was an incredibly exciting day and the children came away buzzing. The next step in the project is to explore some books about crime scenes and mysteries over the Christmas holidays. We will then be setting up a blog for the children involved to discuss the books they have read and share their thoughts. We will keep you updated on how the project is going!
