Following the recent federation of Prestwood Infant School and Prestwood Junior School, the pupils, governors and staff have worked together to develop a new vision for both schools.   It is hoped that this vision will remain at the heart of all we do and set a clear context for future planning and strategy.

Our vision is:

For children to become caring, curious, creative and capable life- long learners

We aim to achieve this through our new set of values, which coincidentally spell the name of the village!

Our school values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide a positive environment for a child's development. We expect both children and staff to 'live' our vision and values so that they permeate every aspect of life in school and beyond.

In order to help all of the children understand our core values and apply them in their own lives, we have matched each value to a well-known children’s book.  Children will be taught about and reminded of our values, through these stories, in weekly assemblies as well as in the classroom.
