This week we are learning all about 2D and 3D shapes. Please take your time going through this throughout the week.

When you have watched the video above please have a go at the challenges down below.

Cool Challenge Go through the 2D shapes above and have a go telling your grown up the name of each 2D shape you see. As an extra challenge, try to sound out and write down the name of them.

Mild Challenge Try to draw and label how many sides and corners each shape has.

Hot Challenge Count how many straight or curved sides each shape has.

Spicy Meatball Challenge  Investigate how many lines of symmetry you can find in each 2D shape.

Cool Challenge Go through each of the 3D shapes above and have a go telling your grown up the name of each 3D shape you see. As an extra challenge, try to sound out and write down the name of them.

Mild Challenge Try your best to gather objects that represent 3D shapes. Explore which 3D shapes slide and which stacks when they are rolled.

Hot Challenge Go through each 3D shape above and find something in your home that is the same shape as one of these. Once you have found it try and count how many faces, edges and vertices it has. 

Spicy Meatball Challenge  Go on a 3D shape hunt around your home. How many cuboids, spheres, cylinders...etc can you see?
