Week 3

This is a busy week; we have Communication and Language week in reception and pre-school (please click on link), class photos and World Book Day. We are very excited to take part in these things although we understand it can make life hectic.

Communication and Language week is a campaign run by Buckinghamshire Council. It highlights the importance of developing great communication skills from an early age. You can also do this at home; below you can find tips that you could try over the week.

Monday 4th - Tuesday 5th -

Wednesday 6th -

Thursday 7th -

Friday 8th -

Phonics: We look at words with two or more digraphs. Tricky words: no, to, into, of, she, he, we.

English: We are really getting to know the story 'How to Catch a Star' by retelling the story with actions and having a go at sequencing a mixed up version of the story.

Maths: This week we look at the number 10 - subitising to 10 (that is being able to recognise ten objects without counting), 1 more and 1 less than 10 and making 10 using two groups.

Thursday 7th is World Book Day! We look forward to seeing your outfits. We love a home made outfit and the simple ones are the best!

The Busy Things webpage has some simple ideas.
