Welcome to the last half term of this year! This term we are looking at Awesome Authors. To get us started we have ventured into the world of Beatrix Potter and the story of Peter Rabbit. The children made predictions, asked questions and answered them too!
In Maths we looked at Tens and Ones and how numbers are constructed. We reminded ourselves of number bonds and those all important number facts that continue to help us on our maths journey.
In Science we started our Eco Awareness topic with a walk a seasonal walk around the school. Spotted all the changes that have happened. We saw some beautiful flowers that were already blooming and some that are starting to bud. We thought about what Eco Awareness might mean to us.
In Topic we are following Paddington Bear on his journey around the United Kingdom. This week Paddington was in London. We looked at the different landmarks around London and wrote a postcard to Aunt Lucy describing all that we had seen.
In Art this term we are looking at Textiles. This week the children had a go at weaving. Lots of "over and under" being said around the room as they concentrated on completing their task.
The weather is now turning lovely and sunny. Please ensure that your child has sun cream on and that they have a named bottle of water each day. It is very import that they have a hat too! Again please ensure that this is named too and we do get duplicates and so it is easy to find their owners if they are named.
