Week 1

Welcome back everyone.  We hope you had a good break.

This has been a short week, but we packed in a lot.  In English we have been learning a poppy poem, putting actions to it.  We have been thinking about Autumn and describing it. The children have written their own poems using these descriptions.  In Maths this week we have been understanding how a 2 digit number is made.  It has a tens number and a ones number.  e.g. 12 has one ten and two ones.  The children created these numbers using dienes and coins. They also looked at ordinal numbers and ordering numbers smallest to largest.  In Science we went for a walk to look at all the seasonal changes that are happening around us. A much drier walk this time thankfully.  The children also created a wreath, ready for Remembrance Sunday.

Abacus homework has been set, it is Clam Collector.  Any problems logging in please let us know and we can reset your password.  As we have said before the weather is getting a lot colder and wetter.  Please ensure all coats, gloves and hats are named.
