Your first mission is to use your text map from yesterday and pretend you are a news reporter! Use a pencil as a microphone and have a go at retelling the report (the more you practise this now, the easier your missions later in the week will be!) Don't forget, you can use actions to help you to retell the report.
Now have a look at this video of a live news report from a volcano eruption: https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/51117512
Now, you are going to pretend that you are on the streets of Prestwood as the fire is happening. You may pretend that your bedroom is the school, your living room is the village hall etc. Find something to use as a microphone and walk around "Prestwood" (your home!) telling the viewers of the news that is happening right now. Try and challenge yourself and use the key words from the report that we looked at yesterday. I will show you how to do this in the live lesson.
Try and include some "emotive language" when you are retelling the events:
You may like to record your news report and send it in to us!
Have fun reporters and don't get too close to the fire!
